What is LEAT?
A radical new way of learning complex team skills in minimal time using simulation, gamification, LEGO® and SERIOUS PLAY®.
Like many before, a large corporation wanted to implement its own tailor-made scaled agile framework. Within two months, we had to launch more than 100 Scrum teams. A great excuse to not just use any standard training approach, but use our know-how to create a personalized learning experience. We co-created and designed a unique approach, taking elements from our collective backgrounds to iterate to a custom-made solution.
LEAT: Learning Experiential Agile Transformation



We knew it had to have experiential learning to make sure internalising the theory and practice would be swift yet lasting. The choice for LEGO was quickly made as it gave us the possibility to scale the entire experience to train up to 100 people at once in 2 days. Based upon existing LEGO challenges, we created simulations where LEGO Robots had to perform missions and interact with LEGO constructions that had to be built from scratch.
Like a Transformation, a truly daunting task for most and an experience of a lifetime once completed together. Our trainee’s simulated a full quarterly cycle, working with the artefacts and participating in all the events of their scaled agile framework. Solving complex problems together, overcoming miss-alignment, finding out how to create flow and collaborating to amazing results. Using LEGO enabled us to simulate and shorten an entire quarterly cycle to 2 days whilst people could act within their future role and practise in a safe environment. It also created the possibility to really inspect and adapt the entire way of working before it was even implemented.
